France's Peugeot is again the highest-ranked automaker. It focuses on four responsibility areas: road safety, traffic, relations with customers, and relations with communities in which it does business. These translate both into typical car-company goals like improving the safety features of its cars and communicating with customers about what they want to see in future models. But it also means Peugeot works with the government to improve streets, change traffic patterns, and teach better defensive driving techniques.
